How do I grow my Twitter account? Any tips for getting more connections?
These are some of the most common DM's I get on Twitter so I want to help those of you get out of what I call Twitter H*LL (0-1k followers).
When your starting out, it comes down to this.
1. Profile Optimization
2. Outreach/Connection Building
3. Content and Target Audience
Profile Optimization
Take a honest look at your profile. How good is the pfp? How good is the bio? How good is the banner?
Compare it with someone you admire on Twitter with a big following. Does it honestly compare well? If not, you know what you have to work on.
A quote that's passed around is "does my profile look like a million dollar profile?" Even if you don't have a million dollars, you should make your profile top notch. It is the first thing people will judge you by.
The better your profile looks, the more likely someone is going to hit that follow button. It's your landing page to your content. Your content is what your offering to people on their Twitter feed. So make your profile shine.

Outreach/Connection Building
When people are starting out, they seem to always worry about what content to post. Truth is, it doesn't really matter much. Your honestly probably going to be bad at writing tweets in the beginning.
The part that's even worse? You won't even be able to tell if your tweets are bad with nobody seeing them. I see so many profiles endlessly writing tweets but getting no views on their content. Let me tell you the truth. This isn't Youtube or Tiktok where you can just post and walk away. On Twitter, you have to start out by reaching out to people in the beginning. Support others, have conversations, build relations. Without a tribe of people, it is very hard to grow alone.
I'd also say, take a look at accounts that are growing fast, and figure out how they are doing it. They are probably busy, like myself which is why I'm writing a guide to help everyone new. I remember the times, I was happy to just get my 4th follower. Keep going, keep outreaching, keep tweeting. You get better with the reps.

Creating Content
Ok! Here's the fun part we've all been waiting for. And it should BE FUN. If your too anxious or worried about it, take a step back and reapproach this as an experiment or testing environment to see how you can create content that connects to people in your own voice. The mastery of creating content that can relate to people is an invaluable skill in the modern age.
What it breaks down to is human psychology. I've learned that people want to be entertained, to have their emotions invoked and to learn something. Now, if you can intertwine all 3 of these into a tweet masterfully, then my goodness you got gold. It's not easy, especially with that damn 280 character limit, but thats the fun of it. We've all sent hundreds or even thousands of tweets here. Everyone starts off being bad typically.
